Hey friends! Tired of language barriers cramping your style? Still worried about online translation services compromising your privacy? Today, we’re thrilled to introduce you to a game-changing translation tool — Argos Translate. With Argos, those worries become a thing of the past!

In a nutshell, Argos Translate is an open-source translation software powered by deep learning. Its most impressive feature? Offline translation! This means you can translate anytime, anywhere, even without an internet connection. All data stays safe and sound on your device, ensuring top-notch privacy and security.

To make things even easier, we’ve packaged Argos Translate into a one-click local installation package. No complicated setup required, just click and go!

It looks like they created a proprietary Windows installer for the Argos Translate with the Argos Translate GUI PyQt Desktop app that you can buy by subscribing to their Patreon.

That seems wrong on their part. Especially calling it “Argos Translate”. The MIT license does not grant any trademark rights.

That said, some people don’t mind. What are your thoughts?

It seems fine to me. I like people trying to make Argos Translate work on new platforms. They also seem pretty explicit about what is Argos Translate and what’s their code. They link to the Argos Translate GitHub and then link to the launcher they developed.
