Hi all — I’ve built and packaged Welsh (cy) language models for Argos Translate. There’s currently no Welsh package on the index, so this would be a new language.

Provenance: Converted from Helsinki-NLP’s opus-mt-en-cy / opus-mt-cy-en (CC-BY-4.0), packaged with the CTranslate2 / Locomotive pipeline and tested through argostranslate.
Testing: Full sentences translate cleanly in both directions (e.g. “Bore da, sut wyt ti?” → “Good morning, how are you?”). Very short fragments can occasionally glitch (repeated/doubled words) — small-model behavior.
